Foreign Health Insurance

Foreign nationals who wish to stay in Turkey after their visa expires are obliged to have health insurance whose conditions are determined by the Undersecretariat of Treasury.
The duration of the health insurance must cover the requested residence period.

The minimum coverage conditions of this insurance are as follows:

• Inpatient Treatment; Conditions where the diagnosis and treatment require the insured to be hospitalized and kept under observation.
• Outpatient Treatment; Procedures such as doctor, examination, medication, laboratory and imaging services, etc. performed in cases where diagnosis and treatment do not require hospitalization.

This health insurance can be obtained from Turkish companies in Turkey.
Insurance policies obtained from abroad are not accepted for residence procedures.
